For doctor, clinic and rehab journeys
Suitable for journeys to a doctor's practice, outpatient treatment, a clinic, as well as rehab and health-cure journeys with the corresponding prescription.
Journeys with a medical transport prescription
We provide medical rides to a doctor's practice, clinic, dialysis appointment, or rehab/health-cure stay, provided a prescription for medical transport (transport form) from your doctor is available. Whether and to what extent your health insurer covers the cost is best clarified directly with your insurer in advance.
At a glance
For a medical ride we need the completed prescription (transport form) from your doctor. Please also share the pickup address, destination and appointment time so we can plan the journey accordingly.
What you should know
Suitable for journeys to a doctor's practice, outpatient treatment, a clinic, as well as rehab and health-cure journeys with the corresponding prescription.
For a single journey, the prescription (transport form) is usually sufficient. For a series of recurring journeys, prior approval from your health insurer is also required.
Statutory-insured patients pay a co-payment of 10% of the journey cost, at least €5 and at most €10 per journey, unless they hold a co-payment exemption (please show proof to the driver). If the fare is less than €5, you pay no more than the fare itself. The co-payment applies per journey – an outbound and a return trip count as two journeys. Privately insured patients pay for the journey themselves first and submit the receipt to their insurer for reimbursement.
Booking process
Your doctor issues the prescription for medical transport (transport form) when a journey to treatment is medically necessary. This also applies to rehab and health-cure journeys.
You contact us with the journey details (pickup address, destination, appointment) and the prescription. We coordinate the journey with you.
We collect you at the agreed time and take you to the practice, clinic or rehab/health-cure facility, and back again if needed.
Statutory-insured: we bill your insurer directly. Privately insured: reimbursement through your own insurer.
